3D CAD Design

The first step of the 3D printing process is to put your idea into the appropriate file format, such as .STL. One way to do it, is to use our 3D CAD design services. Share with us your idea of the product you want to print and our designers will visualize it for you. What will also help is if you have a rough sketch, approximate XYZ dimensions or a picture of the product you want to print, positioned next to a ruler.

3D Scanning

One way to do it, is to use our 3D CAD design 3D Scanning is useful services for cases when we do not have access to 3D CAD file or are unable to produce it. The process itself allows us to analyse real-world objects or environment and collect data on its shape and appearance. The collected data can be used to construct a 3D model, suitable for 3D printing.

3D Printing

The process of 3D printing enables us to produce a three dimensional solid object from a digital file. A 3D printed object is the end result of additive processes where the object is created by laying down multiple layers of material, until the object is finished. 3D printing is also known as additive manufacturing and is a technology with limitless application and usage of different source material such as plastic, metal, concrete and many more.

There are different types of processes and technologies, however will focus on the one we are able to offer at present: Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF).

FFF is using a process for 3D printing, applying a continuous filament of thermoplastic material, which is building the product on multiple layers, from bottom to top, thus allowing products of great detail and ornaments to be produced. The filament is unwound from a coil, through a moving, heated extruder head. The head is moved under computer control and is defining the shape of the printed object.

3D Laser Cutting

Laser cutting or CNC is a technology for producing part shapes by cutting sheet material using a laser beam. It is another way of low cost prototyping. Laser cutting can produce almost any 2D shape including cut outs for parts, such as enclosures, cams, brackets, mechanisms, holders, decorative items,

Aluminium, stainless steel, plain steel and spring steel are among the applicable materials for laser cutting. Metals such as copper or plastic should be avoided. Custom machining is the option we offer, all we need is a CAD file.

CNC has many advantages such as:

  • Precision and accuracy
  • Fast removal of large amounts of material
  • Cost effective due to low investment in tools or preparation
  • Scalable production volumes

Product Finishing

Once your product is printed, you can apply an additional finishing for better results. Depending on the product type you printed, the difference between 3D printed part and additionally polished 3D printed part can be big. We advise you to use product finishing for low quantities, highly ornamented details and for products where precision is a must.

Reverse Engineering

A very useful feature when you want to replicate an existing model or want to produce an exact duplicate. You can provide us with the design as a 2D, illustration, photo or even a rough sketch and we produce it in a 3D printable form.
